AESTHETIC MEDICINE

Lipolaser

Lipolaser is a unique, non-aggressive, machine-assisted liposuction treatment; ideal for sculpting specific areas, including firming of the skin.
As a part of aesthetic medicine, the aim of Lipolaser is to liquefy and remove fat cells. Lipolaser features a tiny tube, called a cannula, which is inserted through a very small incision into your skin. A precise, powerful laser beam is directed via an optical fibre through the cannula and liquefies deposits of fat cells in the treatment area.
Liquefied fat removal: the fat is removed from your body using the same tiny incision. The Lipolaser procedure also leads to skin tightening and less bruising and bleeding in the treated area.

It offers very little downtime and excellent results.
This treatment is ideal for:

  • those who have stubborn areas that do not shift with diet and exercise;
  • those who wish to re-sculpt a specific area of the body, e.g. love handles, muffin top, flabby arms, chin area; and
  • those who wish to remove centimetres and have skin tightening across the sculpted area.

Body areas that can be treated with Lipolaser

All parts of the body that store fat can be treated. Lipolaser can also treat smaller areas not possible with traditional liposuction. Ideal treatment regions include smaller areas on the face, neck, arms, bra line, back, upper and/or lower abdomen, thighs and buttocks. The male breast can also be treated.

You may begin to notice results after a few sessions but 6-8 sessions are advised for maximum results. Because the treatment is not invasive, no downtime is required and treatments can be repeated twice a week.

Lasting results

The Lipolaser shrinks fat cells, but this doesn’t mean these fat cells cannot begin storing fat again. For this reason the effects of Lipolaser can be extended with a balanced diet. Following a healthy diet and ensuring low calorie intake with exercise will ensure lasting results.

All appointments are subject to a consultation with Dr Huskisson. Visit www.lipolite.com for more information on the machine of choice.

FAQ: Lipolaser

1When can I expect to see results?
While results may sometimes be seen almost immediately, the most visible results will be reached six to eight weeks after treatment.
2Will I need anaesthesia?
LIPOLASER is minimally-invasive, and considerably less traumatic to the body than traditional liposuction, so only local anaesthetic (around the area treated) is required for treatments.
3Does the procedure hurt?
Local anaesthetic helps make the LIPOLASER procedure comfortable. After treatment, and when the anaesthesia begins to wear off, patients may experience minimal bruising, plus minor aches and pains that naturally dissipate over time. LIPOLASER patients typically return to work one to two days after treatment.
4Am I a good candidate for the LIPOLASER procedure?
If you are in good health, but have stubborn areas of fat that you can't seem to get rid of through diet and exercise, and have reasonable expectations of treatment results — you're a candidate for LIPOLASER.
5How many treatments are needed?
For most patients, only one treatment is required. The session may last ±2-3 hours for each area treated.
